The next leap of faith

The goal is one step closer
well done! but don't stop there
The moment that you took it
it became a conquered fear

The field has now been altered
the rules have since been changed
The dreams you set your sights upon
are now within your range

You're now a different person
new dreams new comfort zone
You're likely to regress
without some brand new skills to hone

So revel in your victory
But please don't rest too long
without new heights to soar to
pampered wings grow weak not strong

There is no end to striving
For that's the game we play
And men need dreams to test their skills
like dragons knights need slay

COMMENTARY:
Find the thing that represents the next stretch of who you are. Once you've conquered a fear, it becomes merely a notch on your belt, a story to tell. There is no end to striving

To say that I needed yesterday's email is an understatement. The past few weeks I have never felt more alone and scared in my life. One morning I woke up and this dark cloud was just hanging over my head. No matter what I tried to do I couldn't shake the doom.

For the past 9 months I've been pursuing my dream but still somewhat paralyzed by fear. Suddenly I felt like a failure and my spirit began a downward spiral.

I saw the email from you and part of me just thought to myself "just read it since you subscribe." Boy oh boy, was I wrong. From the first word of your reply email [#419 "Welcome to the Other Side" to Mary Kay K.], the tears flowed down my cheeks (I'm at work mind you, but I didn't care). I remembered sitting in that room the first time I heard you speak and then our private consultation appointment. Walt, the things we discussed that day gave me such hope, promise, and an impetus to believe that the impossible was not unattainable. I remember telling you that my biggest fear was losing my apartment...I haven't.

Because I've been juggling an ever-changing work schedules (part-time jobs working for someone else...because I got scared about money), I haven't been focused on realizing what I started. I'm not sure how to get back on the horse this morning but for the first time in what seems to be forever I feel like it's possible. I'm hopeful again.
