The brainwash is pervasive
it's everywhere you go

by now the deck is stacked
Agendas passed for truth
and then the bias became fact
But who shall lead the charge
and give the emperor his pants?
And who will take the actions
well beyond the rants and chants?
Without a new agenda
every person becomes pawn
We'll close ears, eyes and lips
and then our children carry on
It's time to stop the madness
and reverse this steep decline
So choose a cause that's close to heart
then let your courage shine
In lands with laws where lies are king
the truth tends to subvert
But all you need to change the world
is just one to convert!
COMMENTARY:

Dearest Walt:
It's been a long time since I last was connected to your wonderful words. In the shuffle of new addresses and emails, one tends to forget to reconnect the cords sometimes. I want you to know that over the years words that you've written still ring in my ear and have given me a tool to help many of my friends be inspired. Inspiration comes so often, yet so many fail to see or feel it. I just wanted you to know that after all these years, your *Room for Rent still lingers in my mind and heart. I think of it often as I reinvent my life after the loss of my mother back in 2003. She left a very empty space in my life with her departure. Not because we failed to do this or that. But because she was also my very best friend. Every time I do my house cleaning, I think of my soul-cleaning that you discussed in that piece. I continue to make room for the things that matter in my life. Although it's a work in progress, I am making little achievements daily. THANK YOU.
